How To Get Help

When someone finds themselves in a situation where they need temporary foster care for their pets in our area of southern Ontario, our volunteers work very hard to accommodate all requests. We also provide temporary care for anyone who is hospitalized and needs a helping hand to care for their pets.  Our rescue has also worked with our local Mental Health organization to assist clients who need temporary foster care for their pets.

Prior to taking in a dog or cat and placing into foster care, we require the animals to be up to date on vaccines and on flea/tick prevention to provide safety for the pets of our foster families.

Once arrangements are made and a foster family is available, we have an agreement that needs to be signed by the owner of the animals.  Our rescue will provide, depending on available foster space, up to six (6) weeks of care at NO cost to the owner.  This is to give the owner time to settle into a new location or be released from hospital. (Please note we are not a boarding facility for vacations or moving locations).

Our volunteers and foster families are big hearted people wanting to make a difference and they DO!
